Volunteer Administration Assistant

 

Do you have administrations skills, and want to use your skills to help animals?  This rewarding volunteer role is situated in our Sydney Chullora office, and would suit applicants that love animals, those wishing to help animals from the comfort of our office, and anyone looking for a worthwhile way to spend their time helping the RSPCA raise vital funds to help animals.

Applicants for this role must be over the age of 18 years.

Knowledge and Skills required:
 - attention to detail
 - data entry skills
 - ability to follow instructions
 - ability to work as part of a team
 - neat and tidy handwriting and good communication skills both verbal and written.

Essential:
 - medium computer literacy skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suit
 - excellent telephone, customer service and communication skills
 - able to get to the Chullora office by own transport or public transport
 - able to commit to 4 hours once a week, for a minimum of three months.

Volunteer Characteristics:
 - have a desire to help animals using their administration skills
 - are reliable, and enjoy working in an office environment.

Knowledge and Skills gained:
 - an understanding of what is involved in the administrative part of fundraising for a charity.
 - a basic understanding of the operation of the RSPCA.

   animals.

Primary Tasks:
 - assisting with general administrative tasks
 - data entry
 - opening mail, and assist with processing
 - printing, and filing.

This role would suit someone wanting to use their developed administration skills to help animals. The four shift will need to be completed within office hours Monday to Friday, and we ask for a minimum commitment of three months.

Selected applicants will undergo an interview for the role. The successful applicants will be required to attend an induction, as well as a briefing on RSPCA processes prior to commencing their role.
