RSPCA NSW Education Program

The RSPCA's Education Program offers interactive programs for school children and social groups designed to develop empathy for all living things.

Humane Education programs available:

Prevent a Bite – Kindy/Early Stage 1 (ES1)- Teaches children the correct way to approach dogs that helps to reduce the risk of dog bites. (Curriculum link: Play It Safe PDHPE.)

Max Pack – Year 1 & 2/ Stage 1 (S1) - With the help of our plush toy dog Max, we show students the role of the RSPCA in our society and the skills needed to be a responsible pet owner.

Cat Tales – Year 3 & 4/Stage 2 (S2) - Cats can be an easy target for cruelty; this lesson aims to encourage positive attitudes towards cats by looking at cats in history and their amazing adaptations.

Playing My Part – Year 5 & 6/ Stage 3 (S3) - Students learn about the RSPCA and its role in the community. Through investigating some local animal cruelty cases, students reflect on their own role in the community as a responsible citizen.

Community presentation – Looks at the role of the RSPCA in our society, our services to the community and the Five Freedoms for animals.

Customised presentations are also available.
