The Veterinary Hospital at the RSPCA Sydney - Yagoona Shelter is one of the largest animal hospitals in the southern hemisphere. The hospital cares for approximately 120 animals daily and staff perform a wide-range of medical and surgical procedures using the latest veterinary technology.
The hospital offers in-house pathology services, dental facilities, advanced diagnostic aids, ECG, x-ray and ultrasound technologies. A range of Veterinary Specialists also visit the hospital and are available for consultation.
A well-trained, well-socialised dog that understands basic commands will be a happy dog that is less likely to get into trouble.
Puppy preschool aims to teach your dog to interact appropriately with other dogs and people in an environment that is supportive and encouraging. Classes are run by qualified veterinary nurses and Canine Good Citizen dog instructors.
Using positive training methods, the classes cover basic commands such as come, sit and stay. Toilet training and how to deal with digging, chewing and barking is also discussed.
Puppies must be between 8 and 16 weeks with up-to-date vaccinations.
Courses run for four weeks, every Monday night or Wednesday night from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at our RSPCA Sydney Shelter – 201 Rookwood Rd, Yagoona. The cost is $150 and bookings are essential.
No aggressive dogs are allowed and only flat collars and leads are permitted. We do not allow the use of check or choker chains.
For other Puppy Preschool classes around the state, please consult your local RSPCA Shelter.
