BequestsWording for Wills | Free online will | Animal Friends Society

Leave a bequest or legacy to the RSPCA NSW and you will help to save and improve the lives of many animals, who due to the limited financial resources of the RSPCA, may otherwise not be saved.

Donations made to the RSPCA NSW will be used to pay for the care, rescue and medical and surgical treatment in the veterinary clinics, of sick and injured animals, who may have been stray, unwanted or subjected to cruelty.

Donations also assist the Society by maintaining our Shelters and Inspectorate, giving us the resources to promote kindness through educating the community on animal welfare issues and to lobby for improvements in animal welfare legislation and conditions.

Bequests

To make a Bequest, please contact us (contact details above). Your solicitor can help you make a donation or leave property to the Society in your will.

The RSPCA NSW, being a corporate body, can receive bequests of real and personal property, as well as monetary bequests.

The RSPCA NSW is a non-government charity that relies very much on the community for the necessary funds to continue our work. If you would like to assist the RSPCA NSW by leaving a gift in your will, we suggest the following:

1. You can amend your will to include the following exact wording:

Wills - Wording

"I give and bequeath to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, New South Wales, [list amount of money/items], free of all death and estate duties. The receipt of the Treasurer of the said Society shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors."

Animal Friends Society

The Animal Friends Society is a group of special RSPCA NSW supporters who have committed their support for animal welfare for all time by leaving a bequest or Legacy to RSPCA NSW. The Society was launched in September 2003 at a luncheon for over 130 people.

Anyone who confirms a bequest, or enters their pet into the Legacy Program, is invited to become a Member of the Animal Friends Society. Meetings of the Society take place every 3-4 months and include a meal drinks and interesting speakers or entertainers. Non-Members are welcome to come along to luncheons to find out more about the RSPCA and the Society.

If you are interested in coming to a luncheon or finding out more about the Animal Friends Society, Bequests or Legacies, please phone (02) 8666 0119.
