All Creatures Club
A great way for teachers and students to get involved and make a difference!
All around NSW students want to make a difference to the lives of the animals at the RSPCA and don't know how. TEACHERS can help them in a big way: by starting an RSPCA All Creatures Club at school!
What can the All Creatures Club do?
-
Raise awareness by making posters, flyers and displays to put up in their school and perform items in assemblies
-
Raise money by selling chocolates, having a sausage sizzle, competitions/challenges, talent quests, art exhibitions, mufti days, etc
-
Meet to discuss animal welfare issues
-
Sign petitions and get others involved
How does a club get started?
- An interested teacher becomes an RSPCA member ($22) and receives RSPCA information updates on behalf of the club.
- The teacher receives an RSPCA All Creatures Club pack which contains lots of useful information and ideas.
- Students and teachers then have regular meetings to discuss animal welfare issues and ways they can help as a club.
- Take action - organise activities within the school that will help raise awareness and funds.
What does the Club receive from the RSPCA?
- A CD ROM showing footage of staff 'day in the life' stories, the lives of some RSPCA animals once they have found a good home, and members of an existing All Creatures Club showing why they enjoy it so much.
- Certificates and badges for all members!
- A club information kit including tips on how to run the club, ideas for awareness and fund raising activities, and event posters.
- The RSPCA Animals magazine with information about the RSPCA and animal welfare issues, plus, if you send in pictures and updates of what the club has been doing you can be included on the website for all our supporters to see!
- If there is an RSPCA representative in your area we can organise club talks so members can learn more about the RSPCA and its animals.
The RSPCA All Creatures Club is a great way to motivate students to become proactive members within their school community. Through fun and interesting activities students can raise awareness and raise funds for the animals at the RSPCA.
