Little bit about Junior

Introducing Junior!

Junior was surrendered to shelter for no fault of his own and whilst he has had a lot of fun since coming into our care, he is now ready to find his new forever family. Could that be you?

When Junior first arrived to shelter, he was nervous about meeting new people and became uncomfortable with attention from staff. The staff have been helping Junior build his confidence when meeting new people and he is slowly starting to come out of his shell, however, he is still a quiet, timid young boy. Due to this, we are recommending Junior go to a quieter home. Preferably with no children under 15yrs. Junior does not like loud noises or heavy human traffic and can become quite overwhelmed and stressed. So Junior would really benefit from having a special place in his new home where he can go when he feels he needs space. A quiet, dark place with a comfy bed and some toys that can help Junior feel safe.
We are also recommending Junior continue his training in his new home. Training will not only help Junior further his skills but is a great way to help him settle in his new environment, build the bond between him and his new family, plus, it can help him build his confidence!

Junior has met a few different dogs while in our care, he doesn’t mind saying hello to some but can be selective with other. Junior will need to go to a home where he is the only dog, this way he’ll be able to relax and soak up all the families love and attention. Junior will also need to avoid off leash dogs areas and high traffic dog areas.

If you think Junior might be the perfect match for you and your family, please do not hesitate! Bring all household members to the shelter to say hello. You might just leave with your new best friend.
