Little bit about Miki

Hello! My name is Miki and I’m excited to meet you!

I am a young, enthusiastic and energetic young lady who is looking for a new forever family, could that be you? Being a working breed, I need a lot of mental stimulation and consistent training as I have a very active mind and if I’m left to entertain myself too often I can find ways to keep myself busy. So to keep your chair legs and washing safe, I will need lots of training in my new home!
I will also need regular exercise as I have LOTS of energy to burn! So daily walks, runs at the park or even swim at the beach would be ideal for me. I’d also love it if my new owners could spend lots of time in the yard with me to play games such as fetch and tug.
I would be best suited to a home with children over the age of 10 years as I’m still learning how to behave appropriately, this will come with regular training but for now, I’d like it if my new two-legged siblings are confident with dogs and won’t be too fazed by me jumping up for a cuddle. Due to my many needs, I would be best suited a to a family who are experienced dog owners as I will need a lot of training.
I love to have a good run around and play but not all dogs enjoy my enthusiastic nature, so if you have a dog at home already it’s really important you bring them to the shelter with you so the adoption team can help me introduce myself and make sure we have matching energy levels so we can play for hours!
My idea of a perfect home is a place where I can become a member of the family, I’d like access to both indoor and outdoor areas and lots of enrichment to keep me entertained. For those times when I am left alone, I will need secure 6ft fencing to keep me from going on adventures while you’re away.

Love, Miki
