Little bit about Avril

Hi everyone, my name is Avril and I am a sweet gentle older gal who has been in the shelter environment for a while now and I am super excited to finally be able to meet my new potential forever family that are able to show me the world and teach me what love and security feels like.

I will need a quiet and peaceful home where I can spent my days soaking up your attention and sleeping the day away, my new home will need to have minimal visitors and foot traffic as I am a nervous girl. I love to explore yards and sniff the grass, I even enjoy a nice roll in the grass every now and then. I am an easy going girl and once I form a relationship with you you become my world. I will need an adult only home as young ones are too unpredictable for me and their fast movements can startle me.

My ideal home would be where I am the only dog, I tend to avoid dogs as they make me uncomfortable and I look to my person for support and guidance. We would need to avoid off leash areas as I would not enjoy any young boisterous dogs running up and attempting to play with me. I would prefer a nice quiet walk and then going home to nap and cuddle with my humans.
