Hello there!
My name is Xander, and I'm a charming young man finally on the lookout for my forever home! Could this be with you?
I am incredibly sweet and intelligent, which means I learn quickly. I am food motivated, which makes me easy to train. I already know how to sit and lay down and I love to figure out food puzzles such as kongs!
I am looking for a family who is patient. Unfortunately I have spent most of my young life in the shelter so the transition from shelter to home might be a little bit tough for me. I would love a routine (doesn't everybody) such as play, eat, sleep as this will help me understand how things happen each day and create some predictability. I would also love people who can take it slow and let me get used to the home and my new family first before exposing me to any other new things.
At the shelter I have access to the backyard in the office and I love it! When its sunny the staff put a little blanket out on the grass for me to lay on and I have a picnic – usually with a bulli stick or a pigs ear! Sometimes I like to run around with my fluffy chicken toy and do some zoomies and throw it up in the air like I just don't care.
My ideal home would offer both indoor and outdoor access, giving me the chance to explore and play in a safe, secure area. This way, I can burn off my puppy energy while also having a cozy indoor space to relax.
If you think you could be the perfect family for me, I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventure together! Please fill out an application at RSPCA NSW Adoptions or contact the shelter directly at 0477 064 192, or email us at barc@rspcansw.org.au.
