There are lots of different ways to support our work to help us protect and care for the animals of NSW.
Making financial donations is the most common way people support the animals of NSW, and they really do make an extraordinary difference. However, it’s not the only way you can help RSPCA NSW…
Here is a list of other ways you can help including donating your time, efforts and passion, all of which can ensure the animals of our state stay protected and loved.
There are countless ways you can transform the lives of people and animals alike. Make a lifesaving difference today by becoming a foster carer, attending fundraising events, donating, volunteering, and more. No matter how you decide to contribute, every gift helps us ensure that animals across NSW can receive the treatment, rehabilitation, and love that they deserve.Â
Thank you for choosing to help animals in need
Safeguard your pet’s future with Home Ever After (HEA), a special offering for animal lovers who have kindly included a gift in their Will to RSPCA NSW. Pets are cherished members of the family, so we believe that planning for their future is vitally important and a fundamental requirement for any responsible pet owner. Having a plan in place provides great peace of mind and secures the future wellbeing of your pet, should something happen to you
Use your hosting talents to raise funds for the animals. Are you passionate about RSPCA NSW animals in need and want to create your own fundraising event? Perhaps you’re competing in an outdoor or sporting event and want to use this opportunity to raise money for abandoned, neglected, sick and surrendered animals. Or maybe you’d like to donate your wedding gift money to make a lifesaving difference to the lives of animals in NSW?
Celebrate the life of a treasured friend. Honouring your pet’s memory by supporting other animals in need can be a heart-warming way of giving back the love you received from your own pet. A gift of support can create a long-lasting memory by continuing to help other animals. Equally, leaving a gift in memory of someone who was a big animal lover or an advocate for all things animals, can be a beautiful way of remembering them.
By partnering with RSPCA NSW, your company can align with Australia’s most respected animal welfare organisation, demonstrating your commitment to corporate social responsibility and community impact. Lotteries are a great opportunity for our supporters to win incredible prizes, giving us a chance to reward those who help us make a difference in animals’ lives. Every month, hundreds of animals rely on us for veterinary treatment and care. Whether it’s at our veterinary hospitals or in our shelters and adoption centres, our teams work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need.
As a charity we rely on our network of kind and generous supporters to continue making an impact in people and animals’ lives. Since commencing your membership journey with us, your contributions have helped us support many of our state’s most vulnerable animals.

Leaving RSPCA NSW a gift in your Will is a beautiful way of...
RSPCA NSW rehomes a range of different animals, from dogs, cats, and birds to horses, rabbits, and sheep! We believe that all creatures, great and small, can bring joy to our families and homes. Begin your adoption journey today and make an adorable lifelong friend!
Look after some of RSPCA NSW’s most in-need animals. Provide a temporary home to animals who are not well-suited to the shelter environment. This might be because they are too small or young to be adopted, are recovering from illness or surgery, or are timid and finding the shelter environment stressful.
We rely on our generous supporters to continue assisting the thousands of animals turning to RSPCA NSW for help. No matter how small your contribution, every gift makes a lifesaving difference for animals in need. Your support gives vulnerable animals a second chance at a safe and loving future.
Volunteers play a very important role at RSPCA NSW and help with a wide variety of tasks across the state. Volunteering with us involves commitment, dedication and passion. It’s a fantastic way to meet new people and be directly involved in protecting animals from cruelty and neglect.
Yes! Any contribution over two dollars is tax deductible.
Even if you aren’t in the position to donate money to RSPCA NSW, you can support our shelters and adoption centres by providing our teams with essential animal supplies. Our shelters keep a wish list of items such as bedding, towels, and toys – items like these are always in need and greatly appreciated by our shelter animals.Â
You could also volunteer, become a foster carer, or fundraise for our programs and veterinary hospitals. Even something as simple as purchasing RSPCA Pet Insurance can go a long way, as a portion of your fee contributes directly to the care of animals across NSW.
RSPCA NSW regularly partners with tele-fundraising agencies to raise essential funds for vulnerable animals across the state. The purpose of these calls can vary, from inviting supporters to join the RSPCA Rescue Team (our monthly donors), purchasing RSPCA Lottery tickets, or simply calling to update existing donor information.Â
Our tele-fundraising agencies will always identify themselves at the start of a call and will only use a visible phone number, typically a mobile (never a private number). Please note that you will only be contacted during the following hours:Â Â
Monday to Friday, 9am – 8pmÂ
Saturday, 9am – 5pmÂ
They will not call on Sundays or public holidays.Â
Tele-fundraising remains one of the most effective ways to raise vital funds for our cause, helping us reach our generous community of animal-loving supporters. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Supporter Care team at 1300 777 221.Â
RSPCA NSW CEO Steve Coleman often sends our letters asking for support to help continue our mission to protect and care for people and animals. These letters usually highlight recent animal cruelty cases in addition to featuring heartwarming adoption and rescue stories.
RSPCA NSW examines all donation refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Of course, we will endeavour to ensure that genuine errors are rectified, however each decision will be made at RSPCA NSW’s discretion.Â
Unfortunately, RSPCA NSW does not give refunds if you change your mind. For this reason, please make your decision to donate to RSPCA NSW carefully. Should a request for a refund be approved, any receipt reflecting this payment will become invalid and will not be tax deductible.Â
You can view our full donation refund policy here.
