ANIMAL AMBASSADORS PROGRAM
Animal Ambassadors are youths aged up to 18 years who are helping the RSPCA to prevent animal cruelty and keep animals out of shelters.
It’s all about providing YOU with opportunities to share your knowledge and passion for animals. We want you to feel empowered to take action and educate others in order to improve the lives of animals everywhere.
Along the way, you’ll have the support of the RSPCA NSW Education Team. Animal Ambassadors can reach our Education Team via email: email@example.com or phone (02) 9782 4478.
We hope you’ll join us on this new adventure as we strive to protect all creatures great and small!
STEP 1 – register
Saving animals is more fun if you get a group of like-minded people together to share the load.
Grab your friends or classmates and create your very own Animal Ambassadors Club. Choose a name for your club.
Submit your Animal Ambassadors Registration Form to make it official with us (don’t worry if later on there are more people wanting to join the club – you can add members to your group at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org).
STEP 2 – TAKE ACTION
There are so many different ways that you can raise awareness about animal welfare. You could create a library exhibit, invite a guest speaker to your school, hold fundraisers, collect items such as blankets and towels to donate to your local shelter, or screen a documentary during your lunch hour – the sky is the limit!
Organise your first meeting and get started! In the meeting, discuss the kinds of projects you’d like to do. These might be fundraising projects or awareness projects – feel free to think outside the square!
Pick a project to start working on and send us your Project Idea Form – we might be able to give you some tips or help if needed.
STEP 3 – SHARE
Once you’ve completed your project, show us what you’ve done!
Send in your Project Completion Form, including pictures, so that we can share your efforts with the rest of the Animal Ambassadors Community.
Our quarterly eNewsletter is a great way to stay connected with other Animal Ambassadors and to share your thoughts and ideas – what works, what doesn’t work, and how we can all work together to create a better world for animals. You might even get your project featured in our national kids’ magazine, Animania.
For every project you complete, you’ll receive a certificate acknowledging the great work that you’ve done!
