Student Placement Programs
Student placements are a great way to learn more about animal care and welfare. RSPCA NSW supports a variety of student programs. Placement opportunities offered may include school work experience, Duke of Edinburgh, school community service and volunteering, TAFE, university placements and other student programs. The placements offered vary between locations.
Students assist with providing care to the animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. The tasks include feeding, cleaning, socialisation, training and providing the animals with environmental enrichment. Student’s tasks may also include customer care and administration tasks, which provide a variety of different opportunities to learn more about working in the animal welfare field.
