'Booka' was left alone in the overnight cages with a heartbreaking note...

On a cold winter morning we found ‘Booka’ huddled up in the overnight cages at our Sydney Shelter. He had been left behind with no identification – only a heartbreaking note…

The note said that Booka’s family loved him dearly but couldn’t afford to treat his skin condition which was causing him so much pain. RSPCA NSW put a call out to help reunite Booka with his family, but sadly no one has come forward to take him home.

Poor Booka must be so heartbroken. He was left alone in a strange place, cold and huddled up in a cage at night…waiting.

Booka is just one of the thousands of animals hoping to find their forever homes. Oftentimes these animals have been abandoned by the only family they’ve ever known.
