Please help animals facing the longest wait of their lives.

Right now, over 300 dogs and cats across our shelters and foster care are hoping today will be the day someone takes them home.

But the heartbreaking reality is that most will still be waiting tomorrow. And the next day. And the next.

They are now staying an average of nearly 46 days before finding their forever homes – a shocking 69% increase in just two years.

The pressure on our shelters continues to grow:

• The waitlist of animals whose families can no longer care for them has skyrocketed – up 52% in just one year.

• Many animals need complex medical care, behavioural rehabilitation, and time to heal both physically and emotionally.

• It now costs us on average $1,348 to care for a single companion animal during their stay – an increase of $611 over the past two years.

Every day an animal spends in our care is another day they’re not in a forever home. But with your support, we can give them all the love and care they need while they wait – expert veterinary treatment, behavioural support, enrichment, and daily cuddles.

“We’re doing everything we can to meet each animal’s needs – but the longer they stay, the more support they need. These animals are not just numbers. They’re lives waiting to begin again.” – Kristy Blake, Animal Operations General Manager at RSPCA NSW

Please donate now to help provide loving care to innocent animals awaiting their forever homes.
