School Education

Join us for a School Excursion

Our School Education program has been developed to inspire and encourage young people to improve the lives of animals, empowering them to be a junior animal carer and future welfare advocate. We offer programs to all year groups that are aligned with the NSW Syllabus and led by an RSPCA NSW Education Officer.

  • Duration: 2.5 – 3 hours
  • Start time: Between 8:45 am – 10:30 am (subject to your travel time needs)
  • Minimum group size: 10 students (if participant numbers fall below this threshold, you will need to meet the minimum excursion fee of $150)
  • Maximum group size: 60 students
  • Cost: $15 per student (assuming a ratio of 2 supervisors to 15 students, accompanying adult supervisors are free of charge)

Explore Hands-On Learning Activities

Meet our adorable shelter residents. From cats to dogs and other wonderful shelter stars, who are eagerly waiting to find their loving forever homes at our Sydney Adoption Centre.

Learners engage in a fun and educational session, covering topics on positive pet care, the animal adoption journey for Primary school learners, and how to become an animal welfare supporter for Secondary learners.

Learners can bring all their burning questions about animal care and welfare to our knowledgeable team.

Receive RSPCA stickers, activity sheets, and access to our AWARE learning resource to continue learning at home.
