Meet Argon & siblings!
At around 4 weeks old, these guys are curious, energetic, and developing their own unique personalities as they grow. Most of the chicks are Frizzle crosses, giving the flock a particularly fun and fluffy appearance, although their exact breeds and traits may continue to become clearer as they mature. At this age, their sex has not yet been confirmed, so each chick is currently considered unsexed. They are at an exciting stage of development, becoming more confident and adventurous every day while still being young enough to enjoy plenty of gentle care and attention.
Each of the nine chicks has its own individual colouring, feathering, personality, and quirks. Some are more outgoing and adventurous, while others are quieter and prefer to observe what is happening around them.
This group of chicks have been in foster care previously, so they have had some human interaction and early socialization. With the right home, they have the ability to be very friendly, companion chickens! If your interested in adopting, we recommend adopting at least 2 at a time. This will ensure they have a friend when being introduced to the flock at home! (unless you want all 9 of course!)
If Argon and friends could be the newest edition to your flock, Come on down to the RSPCA Hunter Shelter to meet them!
