Hello there. I’m Shrek. Big name, soft heart, just like an onion- I have a few fun layers.
When we first meet, I like to take things slow and observe from a safe distance. While I’m a bit shy, I’d do best starting out in a quiet safe room with all my essentials, this gives me a comfortable place to retreat to, even once I’m ready to explore the rest of the home. Once I’ve settled in, though, I really enjoy being around people and sharing space with my humans. calm companionship is my love language.
I should be honest: I can be a little handsy sometimes. I’m still young and learning my manners, and occasionally my paws get carried away. Because of this, I’d be best suited to a home with no children under 12, where everyone understands feline boundaries. That being said, when it comes to play please make sure to only use wands, no hands, I am trying to be on my best behaviour.
I came into the RSPCA as a stray, so my history is a mystery. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a home before, but I do know I’d really love one to finally call my own.
If you’re patient, kind, and ready to earn the trust of a shy-but-sweet cat with layers (yes, like an onion), I might just be your guy.
