Dear Future Family,
Hello. My name is Emerald. I am a 15-year-old Welsh Mountain pony, and I am writing to you with my little one, Jasper, resting safely by my side.
We don’t know much about my past. Some parts of my story are a mystery, but what I do know is that I am a devoted mother. Jasper is just two months old, and he means the world to me. Right now, he still needs me for comfort, guidance, and reassurance as he learns about this big world. Because of that, we will need to stay together and find a home that welcomes us both.
I am looking for a knowledgeable and experienced horse home — someone who understands mares, and especially someone confident in raising, weaning, and educating a young foal. Jasper is at that wonderful, curious stage where every day is a lesson. He will need patient, consistent handling to grow into a well-mannered, confident pony. I will need understanding and steady care as I continue to be his mum and teacher.
Safe, secure fencing suitable for mares and foals is very important for us. Little legs can get into mischief, and strong, well-maintained boundaries will help keep us both safe while Jasper explores.
What I can offer in return is quiet companionship, gentle eyes watching you across the field, and the special privilege of seeing a young pony grow and flourish. With the right guidance, Jasper has a bright future ahead, and I will do everything I can to help him get there.
If you have experience, patience, and room in your heart and pasture for a mother and her baby, we would love to meet you.
With hope,
Emerald (and Jasper)
