Hello, my name is Opal. I’m a 17-year-old Welsh Mountain pony, and while not much is known about where I’ve been or what I’ve done, I’m hoping my next chapter will be a safe and loving one.
Right now, my greatest treasure is my little filly, Sapphire. She is just two months old — still so new to the world — and she depends on me completely. We share a very close bond, and we will need to stay together so she can continue to grow safely by my side.
Because Sapphire is still so young, we’re looking for an experienced horse home. Someone who understands mares and foals, and who has knowledge in raising, weaning, and educating young ponies, will be very important for her future. She will need patient guidance as she learns her manners and gains confidence, and I may need a little understanding too as we settle in.
Safe, secure fencing suitable for mares and foals is essential. Sapphire is already becoming curious and adventurous, and she’ll need a space where she can explore without risk.
If you have the experience, the facilities, and the kindness to welcome both of us, we would love the opportunity to become part of your family. In return, you’ll have the privilege of watching Sapphire grow and the quiet companionship of a gentle Welsh mare who simply wants a safe place to belong.
With hopeful hearts,
Opal
(and little Sapphire)
