In FY24-25 our advocacy included consultations and submissions on the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Amendment (Puppy Farming) Bill 2024, the Residential Tenancies Amendment (Pet-friendly Rentals) Bill 2024 and the Crimes Amendment (Animal Sexual Abuse) Bill 2024.
We also participated in key reviews and inquiries, and our ongoing engagement has driven law reform to support renters, victim-survivors of domestic and family violence with pets and the continued advocacy for the phase-out of battery cages by 2036.Â
