Become an RSPCA Member

Becoming an RSPCA NSW Member is a great way to show your support for abandoned, neglected, sick and surrendered animals. Our Membership program helps raise funds and awareness, and means RSPCA NSW is able to provide essential education about animal care and welfare. It also means we can provide programs and services to the community, which makes a lifesaving difference to both animals and their owners.

To show our thanks for the incredible ongoing support of our Members, they’re given an exclusive benefits scheme.

Membership FAQs

You don’t need to be a member to volunteer at any of our shelters or community events. However, to join an executive committee in one of our regional branches, you will need to become a financial member.

Paid positions and volunteer recruitment at RSPCA NSW are treated separately and have their own processes. However, if you are interested in working or volunteering for RSPCA NSW, you can find our current job vacancies here and volunteer positions here.

No, being an RSPCA NSW Member is not the same as being a regular donor. However, both are incredible ways of supporting abandoned, neglected, sick and surrendered animals in NSW.

Unfortunately, as RSPCA NSW is a non-government, not-for-profit charity, we’re unable to offer free or discounted entry for members. However, we do offer special invitations and discounts throughout the year to certain events to all our supporters.

If you have chosen to support a specific branch, your membership fee will be used to provide care and support for animals in need in this area. If you do not select a specific branch, your fee will be used to provide care and support for animals in need all across NSW.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to transfer your membership to a different state and territory, as their membership programs are run separately. If you do wish to continue to support animals in need, you’ll need to apply to the RSPCA in your new state or territory.
