RSPCA NSW Relief Points for Flood-Affected Pets

If you and your pets have been affected by the recent floods, we’re here to help. In partnership with the Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC), RSPCA NSW will be hosting community relief events to provide essential supplies, guidance, and on-the-ground support for flood-impacted pet owners.

Upcoming Relief Events:

  • South Kempsey
    Date: Wednesday, 28 May
Location: South Kempsey Community Centre, 48 Yarravel St
    Time: 10am–2pm
Stop by for free pet food and essential supplies. A vet will also be onsite to provide animal health advice and support to members of the community.

Please note, a decision has been made to no longer allow animals at the event because of the risk of disease transmission. There are reported high levels of canine parvo virus in the region, and we do not want to put any dogs at risk of infection. Pet supplies will be available for affected pet owners and although no animals are permitted, there will be a vet on site available to provide animal health advice to members of the community.

  • Taree
    Date: Thursday, 29 May
Location: To be confirmed (dependent on safe access)
    Time: 10am–2pm
Stop by for free pet food and essential supplies. A vet will also be onsite to provide animal health advice and support to members of the community.
  • Maitland
    Date: Saturday, 31 May
Location: Bakers Brickyard Park, Morpeth Road
    Time: 10am-2pm
Stop by for free pet food and essential supplies and animal health advice.
  • Wingham
    Date: Thursday, 5 June
Location: Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services Centre, 4 Farquhar St, Wingham NSW 2429
    Time: 10 am–2 pm
Stop by for essential animal supplies and animal health advice.

These events are free and open to anyone affected by the floods. No bookings are required.

Important Notice for Pet Owners Attending Relief Points

If your pet is fearful, unsocialised, or shows signs of aggression, we kindly ask that you do not bring them to the event. This helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all animals and attendees.

Our team will still be available on the day, and you’re very welcome to come along without your pet to ask questions or seek advice.
