RSPCA NSW provides veterinary care to both animals in need and pets of private patients.
RSPCA NSW provides high‑quality veterinary care to both animals in need and pets belonging to private clients. When you visit one of RSPCA NSW’s three veterinary hospitals — the Sydney Veterinary Hospital, the Hunter Veterinary Hospital and the Broken Hill Veterinary Hospital — you and your pet will receive the highest level of care from experienced veterinary teams using state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic and surgical equipment. These hospitals are open to the public and located across the state, ensuring accessible and reliable care for all pet owners.
The RSPCA NSW veterinary hospitals also support a wide range of animals in-house, including those preparing for adoption, waiting to be adopted, or in the custody of our Inspectorate. By choosing an RSPCA NSW veterinary hospital, you’re not only caring for your own pet – your fees directly support the organisation’s work, helping provide essential treatment and rehabilitation for stray, surrendered, injured, sick or cruelty‑affected animals.
Located in Yagoona, RSPCA NSW’s Sydney Veterinary Hospital responds to a wide range of cases and conditions. From routine procedures like desexing to complex orthopaedic surgeries.
Since 2005, the RSPCA NSW Hunter Veterinary Hospital has served a crucial role in the community, offering a range of services designed to support both pets and shelter animals.Â
Since 1974, the RSPCA NSW Broken Hill Veterinary Hospital has provided high quality care for local animals, wildlife, victims of animal cruelty, and private pets.
Our Sydney and Hunter shelters have veterinary hospitals onsite. We also have a veterinary hospital in Broken Hill.
Our prices vary, but we aim to make them as affordable as possible. If you hold a health care card or pensioner card, we may be able to still help you provide the best care for your pet. Please contact your local veterinary location for more information.
Please note that although we update our online lists of available animals every day, there is a chance that an animal you are interested in will have found a home prior to your arrival at the centre.Â
If you’re visiting BARC to adopt, don’t forget to bring a photographic identity document complete with your name and current address. If you already have a dog at home, you may need bring them in for a meet and greet to ensure they’ll get along with your newest furry friend.Â
100 per cent of profits go back into the organisation to help animals in need. It provides veterinary care, nutrition, shelter, rehabilitation and enrichment to every animal that comes through our doors.
Dedicated behaviour centres allow us to create an ideal environment to set, support, and meet our animals’ rehabilitation goals. Complete with outdoor space and grass for enrichment, walks, and play, our centres greatly benefit our animals as they embark on their recovery journeys. We work with our animals to prepare them for life in a stable home, helping them build the confidence they need to thrive with a family of their own.  Â
