Important Update – Heatwave Warning for Parts of NSW
With extreme heat expected to reach parts of NSW in the next few days, should temperatures reach or exceed 38°c, external areas of our shelters will be closed.
This includes walk-throughs and adoptions of animals in external areas.
These measures are in place to ensure the comfort and safety of the animals in our care, as well as our visitors and staff. Plan ahead and contact your local shelter before you visit or if you are unsure.

Every animal in need of desexing, microchipping, parasite treatment, or vaccinations undergoes all necessary procedures prior to adoption. Additionally, RSPCA NSW animals go through a series of comprehensive veterinary checks along with any necessary training, quarantine, and rehabilitation.
As a charity, we use our adoption fees to help cover a portion of these costs, so we can allocate more of our resources to supporting people and pets in need.
