Little bit about Oyster

Hi, I'm Oyster, a year-and-a-bit-old cat with a soft purr and a curious spark that brightens the corners of a sunlit room. I’m the sort of soul who shifts from shy to snuggly the moment I feel safe, turning a house into a home with quiet company and steady warmth. My name suits me, I think—little brine, big heart, and a readiness to discover what comes next when you extend a gentle hand. Listen for the hush I make when I settle on a warm perch; respond with patience, and I’ll curl closer, inviting you into my small, forever adventure.

I’m just over a year old, with a moderate adaptability. I’ve had a cautious journey, so I’ll need a patient, gentle approach as I settle. I’m happiest with people who take their time; once I know you’re kind, I become a true companion—present, affectionate, and quietly playful at the edges of the day. I love a warm lap when I’m ready, a sun-washed windowsill to watch the world go by, and the soft comfort of a familiar routine. I’ve shared life with another cat before, which taught me the rhythm of living with a feline friend. A veterinary consult has been part of my care, so thoughtful attention helps me stay comfortable.

My world needs space—my home can’t be an apartment, with room to roam and a sunny corner to nap in. I do best in a quiet, calm household, where gentle introductions and predictable routines help me settle. I’m a high-energy cat in a high-energy environment; I thrive on play and exploration, and I carry a lively heartbeat that keeps a home from ever growing dull. If your days have a touch of bustle and your evenings end with a soft, waiting lap, I might be the right match for you.

Would you like to meet me and see if our rhythms align? I’d love to sit with you, purr in your presence, and decide together if we’re a match. If you think you can welcome a cat who needs a little time to trust but blooms with warmth, please come by to meet me, or begin the adoption process. I can’t wait to meet you.
