Hi, I’m Freckles
I'm an older gentleman enjoying the finer things in life. I came in from the cold as a stray. It was a struggle to find my next meal and somewhere to sleep safely. I was lucky enough to meet someone who fell for my charms and recognised me for what I have to offer, unwavering loyalty and companionship. I was taken to RSPCA and provided with the medical care and love needed to feel well again.
Let me tell you about the new revived me. Although I am in my golden years, I am still full of love and life, beginning with food. I just love good food – mind you I have no teeth left so soft yummy food is best for me. I am still very agile and enjoy play, yes at my age I still enjoy being carefree and the chance to romp around and bat at a string toy. Should you be a bit busy to play with me, I am happy to play on my own – anything I can grab, and chew is fun for me. Give me a ball and the dog in me comes out. Once I am done and ready for rest, I find a cosy spot to nap, either soaking up the warmth of sunrays by the window or curled up near you/on your lap. This is when I'm in my happy zone-feeling warm, safe, and sound. You should know that my heart is a little larger than the usual feline – all the more to love you with!
I’m suited to a calm and caring forever home where I can relax and feel safe. I enjoy a peaceful environment and best suited to a home without young children, 6yrs and over is fine. I’d also prefer to be the only cat so I can soak up all the love and attention. A family with previous cat experience is perfect, as I’ll feel most comfortable with people who understand my needs.
I’m currently in a lovely foster home while I wait for my new family and excited at the prospect of being safe and cared for in your home.
