My name is Pickles, and I’m a bay Thoroughbred mare hoping to find a quiet, loving place to call home.
The truth is, not much is known about my past. The people caring for me now don’t know all the roads I’ve traveled or everything I’ve experienced before arriving here. Some of my story may always remain a mystery, but they do know one important thing:
I deserve to feel safe, cared for, and loved.
These days, I’m looking for a softer kind of future. I need to be a companion horse only, which means I’m searching for someone who values me simply for being me — not for riding, performance, or expectations.
And honestly, that sounds pretty wonderful.
I dream about peaceful paddocks, sunny afternoons, gentle grooming sessions, and the comfort of good company. I’d love a home where I can spend my days alongside other horses, enjoying life at a slower pace and building trust with kind humans.
Like many Thoroughbreds, I’m sensitive and thoughtful. I notice patience. I notice calm voices. I notice people who take the time to understand me.
I may not have all the answers about my past, but I still have so much love and companionship to give.
Maybe you’re someone who believes horses don’t have to be ridden to be valuable. Maybe you understand that sometimes the greatest gift you can offer is simply a safe place to land.
If you think your home might have room for a mare like me, I would love the chance to meet you.
With hope and soft nickers,
Pickles
