Hi, I’m the JT

I’m a gentle and sweet boy looking for a special family who understands that good things take time. I found my way to the RSPCA through no fault of my own, and now I’m hoping to find my forever family. All I need is a little love, patience and time to help me feel safe, settle in and become the happy boy I know I can be. I really hope that family is you!

As my confidence grows, you’ll start to see my smoochy and playful side come out too. I love chasing toys, exploring my surroundings and having fun with wand toys. There’s something pretty special about discovering the world once I feel safe, and I’d love to share those moments with my new family. After a big day of playing and exploring, there’s nothing I’d enjoy more than curling up on the couch with you, relaxing and enjoying some well deserved pats.

I do consider myself sensitive boy, at least at first. New people and busy environments can sometimes feel like a lot for me, so when I’m feeling unsure, I might find a cosy hiding spot where I can relax and take everything in from a safe distance. I think I'd be best in a Quiet/Calm household. I’m not trying to be antisocial, I just need a little time to feel comfortable, build my confidence and learn that I’m safe.

When it comes to other cats, I can be a little selective about who I share my space with. I have lived with another cat before, but every cat is different, so introductions to resident cats will need to be slow and careful. I feel most comfortable when I have plenty of my own resources and spaces, including separate food and water bowls, litter trays, resting spots, toys and enrichment. Elevated spaces like cat towers are also wonderful because they give me somewhere to retreat, relax and set my own boundaries.
