RSPCA NSW rehomes a range of different animals, from dogs, cats, and birds to horses, rabbits, and sheep! We believe that all creatures, great and small, can bring joy to our families and homes. Begin your adoption journey today and make an adorable lifelong friend!
By providing temporary homes for our animals, we can ensure they get the care they need until they are ready to be adopted. Join our network of foster carers for an incredibly rewarding experience; with your help, we can change the lives of some of the state’s most vulnerable animals.
We rely on our generous supporters to continue assisting the thousands of animals turning to RSPCA NSW for help. No matter how small your contribution, every gift makes a lifesaving difference for animals in need.
By raising funds and lending a hand to communities and their pets, our volunteers play a pivotal role in our work throughout NSW. If you have a genuine concern for animals and enjoy meeting like-minded people, consider becoming an RSPCA NSW volunteer today!
Our branches, supporter groups, and community volunteer groups do not participate in investigating animal cruelty. If you need to report animal cruelty, contact our animal emergency helpline at 1300 CRUELTY or reach us via phone at 1300 278 3589.Â
Though our volunteers occasionally assist our community outreach teams, we encourage you to contact your nearest branch, supporter group, or community volunteer group to inquire about the services our volunteers can provide. Â
Money raised by our branches, supporter groups, and community volunteer groups is spent on addressing the needs of local animal guardians and their pets. With the endorsement of their members, our branches and supporter groups can also allocate funds to the wider organisation, to be used for events or community outreach programs that promote the improvement of animal welfare.Â
Our branches, supporter groups, and community volunteer groups don’t rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals like our shelters and adoption centres do. They instead raise funds for our organisation and occasionally assist with providing pet owners with community outreach assistance.Â
You don’t need to be an RSPCA NSW financial member to volunteer at one our shelters, branches, supporter groups, or events. Conversely, becoming a volunteer does not automatically make you a member. However, if you wish to join the executive committee at one of our branches or supporter groups (or want to have voting rights within that branch or group), you will need to become an RSPCA NSW Member first.Â
Although volunteers do not receive exclusive discounts or event admission, we frequently offer promotions, special invitations, and discounts to events to all our supporters.Â
Unfortunately, every state runs a different membership program. You will need to reapply to volunteer with a specific RSPCA.Â
We promise to uphold the highest ethical standards. Your personal information has never been, and never will be sold or traded to other charities. This is our promise to you.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live and work. We recognise and respect the enduring relationship they have with their lands and waterways, and particularly acknowledge the vital role animals have played in Indigenous life, stories and culture for tens of thousands of years.
