Hi I'm Sprinkles. I'm a spirited, one-eyed girl who more than makes up for my missing eye with personality, charm, and plenty of joy.
My ideal home is a quiet adult-only household with sunny windows for bird watching, cosy beds for afternoon naps, and people who understand and respect cats. Because I'm missing my left eye, I can startle more easily, especially when approached from that side. This can make me feel uneasy around children and other animals, so my perfect home will be with adults only.
When I first arrive home, I'll need some time to settle in and learn that I'm safe. It can take me a couple of weeks to feel comfortable in a new environment, so during this time I should be treated like a delicate ornament to be admired rather than touched. Patience and respect for my boundaries will help me gain confidence and build trust. Once I'm settled, I'm an absolute joy to have around.
I was lucky enough to spend several weeks in foster care, and this is what my foster mum had to say about me:
"Sprinkles is an incredible cat. She isn't the snuggliest cat, but if it's on her terms, she does enjoy a quick pat or cuddle on the couch. Her favourite activities are napping, playing with string toys, and chasing her toys around the room. If she can't find a toy, she'll sometimes bring me a hair tie and politely ask me to throw it so she can chase it. She's full of personality and always finds ways to make me smile."
