I'm a handsome black-and-white gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger heart, you just have to give me a little time to show it.
For most of my life, I survived on my own as a stray, never knowing where I'd sleep or where my next meal would come from. Now I've spent nearly 200 days in foster care, patiently waiting for someone to choose me. It's been a long wait, but I still believe my perfect person is out there.
Because of my past, I like to take things slowly. New places and new people can feel a little overwhelming at first, so I need time to settle in and build trust. I'm not the kind of cat who'll leap straight into your lap on day one, but once I know I'm safe, you'll discover a sweet companion who may enjoy being close to his people. There's nothing better than curling up nearby, knowing I finally belong.
One thing you should know about me… I love my food! When you've spent years wondering where your next meal is coming from, it's hard not to get excited when dinner arrives. I can sometimes eat a little too quickly or get impatient, but I'm learning that I don't have to worry anymore. An automatic feeder would be a wonderful addition to help me feel secure and relaxed around mealtimes.
I'm looking for a calm, understanding home with no children under 12 years old. Sometimes I get overwhelmed if I'm handled too much, so I need people who can read my body language, respect my boundaries, and let me come to them in my own time. With patience, consistency, and a predictable routine, I'll continue to grow into the confident cat I was always meant to be.
