Meet Tsuki 🐾❤️
Tsuki is an affectionate 8-year-old girl who absolutely loves her people. She is a true Velcro dog who wants to be involved in everything you do — whether that's relaxing on the couch, working from home or pottering around the house. She would love a family where someone is home more often than not, as she thrives on companionship and has shown some separation anxiety behaviours.
Tsuki is friendly with people, visitors and children and loves human attention. She enjoys playing with stuffed toys and is very food-motivated, which makes her keen to learn and a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training.
She is calm around other dogs and is happy to coexist with them, but isn't particularly interested in playing or socialising with them. If she has a canine companion, a calm dog with a similar laid-back nature would be the best match. She may also be very happy as the only dog.
Although Tsuki has lived with cats, she has started showing a tendency to chase them, so she would be best suited to a home without resident cats.
Tsuki has had cruciate injuries in both back legs and is undergoing her second surgery, so her new family will need to be prepared to support her through her recovery and rehabilitation. A secure yard with secure fencing and appropriate footings will also be important.
Above all, Tsuki is looking for a family who understands that she wants to be part of their everyday life.
