Little bit about Mia

Hi, I'm Mia! I'm a sweet, affectionate little girl looking for my next forever home, and I'm bringing my best friend Max along too! We're a bonded pair looking to find a family who has room in their home and heart for both of us.

I'm the more confident one of the duo and love being around my people. You'll often find me following you around or jumping up for a lap cuddle. I enjoy both indoor and outdoor life, and I'd love to get back into enjoying regular walks with my new family.

I have been told I have some issues with my knees and require a couple of surgeries over the next few months.

I am hoping I can settle in with my permanent family before I start my surgeries so that I can recover in my own home. The costs for my surgery will still be covered by RSPCA – all you need to do is bring me to my appointments and care for me while I recover, including lots of rest and relaxation until I can be up and running again.

I'm generally happy to meet new people, although I can get a little excited and may have a bark when visitors arrive. I sometimes jump up when people are walking, but I respond well to cues. I'm looking for a home with older children aged 12 years and over, who understand the importance of giving little dogs space and allowing them to interact in their own time.

Max and I are used to sleeping together in a crate, and we're generally clean in the house, although we occasionally use a puppy pad overnight. I haven't had much recent experience travelling in the car, so I'll need a little help getting used to that again. I also require some medical work which will be discussed further by the humans.

My ideal home is one where Max and I can stay together, enjoy plenty of companionship, walks and cuddles, and be part of the family.

We're available for adoption through expression of interest so If you think you have the perfect home for us click the link to apply.

Love, Mia (and my best mate Max)
