Meet Luna – a little lovebug who needs time to shine!
Luna is a beautiful 2-year-old girl who proves that the best relationships are worth waiting for. Having previously lived a quiet life with just her owner, the big, busy world can feel a little overwhelming for her. When Luna first arrived in care, she was very fearful and needed time to feel safe. With patience, understanding and a gentle approach, she has shown just how special she can be once she builds trust.
Once you're part of Luna's trusted circle, you'll discover a smoochy little companion who loves affection on her own terms. She's a playful girl with a high prey drive who enjoys chasing toys, pouncing on her favourites and spending quality time with her people. She's also quite the character, with plenty of little chirps and meows to share once she's comfortable!
Luna is looking for an adult-only home with no other pets, where she can enjoy a calm environment and be the centre of someone's world. She would suit an experienced, confident cat owner who understands feline body language and is comfortable recognising when she needs space. Luna can become overwhelmed by interactions and may hiss or retreat when feeling uncomfortable, so it's important that her boundaries are respected and all interactions remain on her terms.
Luna took around two days to settle into her foster home and has shown that, with the right environment, she can grow in confidence and form lovely bonds with her people. She'll need a patient adopter who is happy to let her settle at her own pace, provide safe spaces to retreat to and build trust through positive, consent-based interactions.
