Meet Roxy 🐾
Roxy is an 8-month-old Australian Kelpie who is intelligent, energetic and wonderfully sensitive. She came into care as a very fearful girl and has worked incredibly hard to build her confidence. She has come a long way and is now forming trusting relationships, enjoying enrichment and exploring her world with growing confidence.
As a working breed, Roxy has plenty of energy and a busy brain. She will need an owner who understands Kelpie drive and can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and appropriate outlets for her natural instincts.
Roxy can still be unsure in new situations, around loud noises or with unfamiliar people. She will need a patient owner who is comfortable managing a sensitive young dog and understands that her confidence-building will take time and consistency.
Roxy would best suit an adult-only home with no pocket pets. She has done well with other dogs and gained confidence from her foster home's resident dog, so a suitable canine companion may be beneficial.
Roxy has already come such a long way, and with the right person beside her, we're sure she will continue to blossom into a wonderful companion. ❤️
