Hi there, I’m Portabello. A steady heartbeat in a wagging tail, with a nose for little adventures and a big love for soft mornings. I’m happiest when I can wander a sunlit path, sniff the world at my own pace, then drift into a warm quiet when the day settles. I’m comfortable indoors and outdoors, content to watch the world from a cosy doorway or explore a safe yard.
Who I am: I do best in a quiet, peaceful home, and I do best with older kids who understand to give me space when I need it. I don’t have a known history of issues with other pets, but I’m currently a single-dog household kind of guy. I need an experienced owner who can read my moods and guide me with patient, consistent management. When I first arrived, I was was very sick and had some troubles with my brothers and sisters. I'm feeling a lot better now but other dogs can still be a bit too much for me for now. I might be able to make friends in the future but I will need calmer dogs to show me the way.
The kind of home that would suit me best is one with solid fencing and a routine you can rely on. I’m happiest when I have a space I can call my own, with an indoors-outdoors rhythm that lets me choose where I feel most secure. My energy remains steady, so a household that values peaceful evenings, long enough walks to stretch my legs, and plenty of time to wind down in a warm sunbeam will help me thrive.
