Meet Milton
Milton is a handsome little boy with a gentle soul. He is still quite shy and may run away or hide when he feels unsure, especially around new people or in unfamiliar surroundings. With time, patience, and a calm approach, Milton is gradually building his confidence and beginning to show more of his sweet, playful personality.
Milton will need a quiet room or dedicated space of his own when he first arrives home, giving him somewhere safe to decompress and settle in without feeling overwhelmed. A consistent routine, plenty of cosy hiding places, and the freedom to approach people on his own terms will help him feel secure. His adopter should be prepared for a gentle settling-in period and understand that trust may take time to develop.
Milton absolutely adores other cats and gains great comfort from having feline friends around. He would thrive in a home with a calm, friendly cat who can help him feel safe and show him that people aren't so scary. A peaceful household without young children would suit him best, as loud noises and sudden movements can be overwhelming.
As Milton begins to feel safe, his playful side really starts to shine. He loves string toys and enjoys chasing and pouncing on all kinds of toys. He also loves curling up in soft, cosy beds, exploring scratchers, and retreating to hideaways whenever he needs a little reassurance. Milton is also a big fan of treats and isn't particularly fussy about what he's offered!
Watching Milton come out of his shell—whether it's stepping out of hiding, playing with confidence, accepting treats, or choosing to spend time beside you—will be incredibly rewarding. With patience, kindness, and understanding, Milton has all the potential to grow into a loving, confident companion.
