Little bit about Monica

Meet Monica – A Gentle Girl with a Heart of Gold! 🤎

If you’re looking for a sweet soul who just needs a little time to come out of her shell, let us introduce you to Monica!

Monica is a lovely Chihuahua girl who is learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She may be a little shy when it comes to hands-on affection, but she has already made beautiful progress since being in care. She is much more comfortable having people around, will happily come close to say hello and may even give your fingers a little lick! Monica is still learning to trust being touched and picked up, so she’ll need a patient family who understands that the best relationships are built on trust, not timelines.

Once Monica feels safe, we think she has all the makings of a wonderful little companion. She loves her comfy bedding and blankets, especially when there’s an opportunity to roll around and get cosy. She is also a big fan of chew toys – although she does have a cheeky habit of collecting things she probably shouldn’t! Slippers, tea towels, cushions and even pegs on washing day are all fair game if left within reach. Consider it her little hobby!

Monica enjoys playing chase with her sister and gets along beautifully with her foster carer’s dog. She is generally easy-going around other dogs and tends to be a more submissive social companion. She’s happiest having her canine family nearby, and her sister Rachel is a particularly important part of her world.

Monica is looking for a family who will let her blossom in her own time. She may not be the kind of dog who rushes straight into your arms on day one, but with patience, kindness and a little understanding, she has so much potential to become a cherished companion. If you have room in your heart for two little Chihuahua sisters and are happy to let trust grow at its own pace, Monica and Rachel might just be your perfect pair. 🐾💕
