Meet Sammy, a gorgeous 9-year-old Miniature Poodle with a gentle nature, a social personality and a wonderfully independent streak!
Sammy is the kind of little dog who enjoys being part of the family, while also appreciating the freedom to do things on his own terms. Once he has had the chance to build a bond with you, Sammy is a very sociable boy who loves spending time with his people. He would thrive in a home where his humans are around more often and he can enjoy plenty of companionship throughout the day.
Being small and absolutely adorable, Sammy can sometimes attract a little too much attention! He prefers to choose when he would like pats and affection, so his new family will need to be respectful of his boundaries and let him come to them when he is ready. In return, Sammy has plenty of love and companionship to offer once he feels comfortable.
Sammy also enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown himself to be social and appropriate when meeting new canine friends. He particularly enjoys following and chasing his doggy pals, although toys don't quite capture his interest! He much prefers having a good sniff, exploring his surroundings and watching the world go by.
When it is time to relax, Sammy is all about comfort. He loves being warm and cosy in his soft bed and may even snuggle himself underneath a blanket for a very comfortable nap.
Sammy can live with children 12 and over, and would prefer a quieter home with less foot traffic. His new family will simply need to help children understand that he likes to have a choice about when he wants attention and when he would prefer some quiet time.
