HELLOOO!!
My name is Rafiki, and I'm here to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a young, energetic cat with the heart of a kitten, I am now waiting for that special someone to bring me into their loving home.
I have loved my time here at the shelter, and the staff here even call me "affectionate" and "confident" Which is true!! but growing up in the shelter has made me a bit nervous when it comes to home environments since it is so unusual to me, but deep down, I am just looking for the right match. I've heard the world outside these walls can be pretty amazing! That being said I would be best in a calm and quiet household, so a family with no kids under 12 would be purrfect for me.
Once I get comfortable, you'll see a whole new side of me. you'll see that I'm a lap cat through and through. I love being carried and finding a cozy spot on your lap for a good rest. You'll know I've chosen you when I become your shadow. Now, let's talk about playtime – it's my absolute favorite! I have this so much energy that needs an outlet, so be prepared for lots of play sessions and interactive toys. I can get a little mouthy but don't worry, as long as you redirect this behaviour with a toy or play, we'll get along just fine.
There's one thing you should know, though – I'm not the best traveler. A little car ride tends to make me a bit queasy. But with the right medication, I'll be purring away on our way home or during any future vet visits. The staff will happily discuss this with you!
So I just need a home with lots of love and a little patience, I will find one just like this soon!
