Hello! My name is Choc, nice to meet you!
I'm a smaller sized dog, and quite handsome too! (well, I think!) but looks aside, I'm really just a timid fella who needs some guidance through this big world and thing we call life. I have come from an environment where my living space was small, I had no toys or things to chew on, and I was terribly bored all the time. This has caused some trauma for me, and I find it hard to meet lots of people at once, so I'm looking for an experienced owner who knows a little bit about anxiety in dogs so they can care for me and know when I need space and time out. It will take me a while to form a bond with someone, but with patience and understanding, I reckon we will get there. I find the company of other dogs really helpful in life, so I'm looking for a home that has another confident, social dog to lead the way and take me down the right path to a happy life and loving family! I may never be a beach or cafe dog, I don't have the life experiences, so you will need to take it slow with me, allow me time to settle in and build a bond before we start to adventure far from home. Ideally staying home for about a month before any outings just so I can find my feet and develop that bond I will need with someone for ongoing support. I'm currently on some medication that helps with behavior, as I have been in care for a long time now, so you will need to speak to my vet before taking me home. I will require multiple meets before I'm comfortable enough to go home, so applicants should be within driving distance to Coffs Harbour. I'm working on my toilet training, so a secure yard where I have indoor and outdoor access would be ideal, and an owner who understands that mistakes happen sometimes!
If you think a smaller shy gentleman like me could be your new special friend, pleaseĀ fill out an application form and someone will be in touch.
