Woof! My name is Ella, but I also get called Big Belly Elly and this is my story!Â
I didn’t have the best start to life, I've seen things no dog should ever have to see. Because of that, I've learned not to trust people or other dogs. When I first came to the shelter, I was completely shut down. I didn't believe that anyone could ever love me or understand what I've been through. But those wonderful animal attendants didn't give up on me. They saw something in me worth fighting for, and now, I'm proud to say that I'm the sweetest dog in the entire world.
I may have a sassy streak, but underneath it all, I'm just a pup looking for love. I love nothing more than rolling around in the dirt, feeling the earth beneath my paws. And yes, I admit it, I'm a bit on the chonky side – food is my weakness! But more than anything, I crave companionship. I want to be with you all the time, snuggled up on the couch, watching the world go by. Walks aren't really my thing, but I'm willing to give them a try. Just know that it might take me some time to build my confidence.
Please understand that my past has left its mark on me. I need someone patient and understanding, someone who will give me the time and space I need to trust again. But I promise you, I'm worth it. Once I open up to you, I'll love you like no one else. So if you're looking for a loyal companion who will always be by your side, then look no further. I'm here, waiting for someone to give me a chance.
