Little bit about Elsie, the Rescuoodle

Hey there, I'm Elsie, the sweet little kitten looking for a cozy home to call my own. Yep, you guessed it, I'm deaf, which makes me a bit unique, but it also means I need some special care.

First things first, I gotta be an indoor kitty. If you wanna take me outside, we'll need to ease into it with a harness and lead. Safety first, right? With all the hustle and bustle out there, I won't hear a thing, so it's safer for me to stay inside or in a secure area. And since I can't hear your calls or any dangers like traffic or other animals, I'm at a higher risk of getting hurt if I wander off. Oh, and about the noise—quiet and calm is my jam. I'm easily startled, so a household without little kids under 6 would be purr-fect for me.

During my time in care, I had to deal with something called Coccidia, but don't worry, I got the medication I needed and now I'm feeling top-notch! But there's one more thing you should know—I have Feline Calicivirus. It's nothing serious, but it means I gotta stay indoors to keep other kitties safe from catching it.

I might seem a tad shy at first, but hey, who isn't? It takes me a bit to warm up to new environments, so the slower you take it, the better. I'll need plenty of hiding spots to retreat to if things get too overwhelming.

Being deaf means I'm still learning how to navigate this big world of ours, but hey, who said being a kitten was easy, right? I might need a bit of extra time and patience as I figure things out, but trust me, I'm worth it! Since I can't hear all the noises that you humans do, it might take me a bit longer to get the hang of things. But with your love and guidance, I know I'll grow into the purr-fect little kitty in no time. Oh, and did I mention how playful I am? Just because I can't hear doesn't mean I don't love to have fun! I'll chase after toys, climb on furniture, and explore every nook and cranny of my new home.

As for other cats, I'm not quite sure how I feel about them yet. Maybe in the future, once I've settled in and gotten to know my new family, but for now, it's just me and you, okay?

I might need a bit of extra TLC, but I promise I'll repay you with all the cuddles and purrs you could ever want. Let's start this new adventure together!
