Optus, CS Banking, Torrens Uni and Equiem make a difference for RSPCA NSW Posted on March 7, 2019 February was a busy month for our Corporate team. We were lucky enough to welcome not one but three companies into our Sydney and Illawarra Shelters for a Corporate Support Day. We also paid a visit to Equiem to support their fundraising initiative for RSPCA NSW. Here’s a sweet wrap up of all of February’s goings-on. Optus Optus came to visit our Sydney Shelter at the start of the month and thankfully, the scorching hot weather didn’t scare them off! Despite the humidity, employees had a great time washing dogs, playing with kittens, cleaning stables and taking a tour of our vet hospital. A huge thanks to Optus for being good sports and helping us get the job done. Community Sector Banking The team from Community Sector Banking came down to our Illawarra Shelter at the start of February. They had an amazing time walking dogs, cleaning dishes, raking hay for the goats, prepping food and playing with the cats. A lot different from their regular day working in finance, we’re sure. Thank you to CSB for all your hard work. Torrens University Staff from Torrens University sure do love RSPCA NSW – so much so, that each person paid out of their own pocket to attend a Corporate Support Day at our Sydney Shelter. We hope that after putting them to work cleaning, feeding and washing they weren’t regretting that decision! Jokes aside, the team loved getting a behind-the-scenes veterinary hospital tour, feeding and washing animals, and learning more about our crucial work helping animals around the state. Nice one, Torrens. Equiem Along with our Corporate Support Days, February saw us pay a visit to one of our biggest fans: Equiem. Staff at the company were selling cupcakes to raise money for RSPCA NSW, so we suppawted them by bringing along two doggos, Benny and Sully. The hard workers managed to raise over $600. Woo-hoo!
