Hop into RSPCA NSW’s ‘Million Paws Walk: Walk This May’ to help animals in need this Easter

RSPCA NSW’s much-loved Million Paws Walk is back in 2021 with a virtual alternative: Walk This May – with sign-ups now open.

Because of COVID-19 developments, RSPCA NSW will hold Million Paws Walk as a virtual event, where dog lovers will walk their pet for 30, 45 or 60 minutes a day. Participants can start today and have up until the end of May to raise money for RSPCA NSW and be a hero for dogs in need.

With the Easter long weekend and school holidays just around the corner, there is no better time to get the whole family out and start walking to help animals in need.

“Events like Million Paws Walk are even more crucial in such challenging times, as we depend on fundraising and donations to continue the life saving work that we do,” said RSPCA NSW Community Fundraising Manager Danielle Cameron.

“Every participant taking part in Million Paws Walk: Walk This May this year will be raising vital funds to help the 30,000 dogs that come into the care of the RSPCA every year, that is 82 dogs every single day that need our help”.

Million Paws Walk: Walk This May celebrates a mutual love of animals while keeping owners and pets healthy and safe as they hit the pavement in their own backyards and neighbourhoods.

#MillionPawsWalk and #MPWDOGSQUAD will be used across social media to allow walkers to share images and routes.
