You can be their protector, their rescuer and their friend when then have no one else.

Sydney just endured its coldest first week of June in more than 30 years. There are still two and a half long winter months ahead, and I can’t help but think about the many animals who’ll be suffering alone, out in the cold.

That’s how a Kelpie cross named Bertie was found – as a stray, wandering the streets injured and desperately searching for food.

After rounds of antibiotics, 9 changes of bandages and lots of love and care, Bertie was given a second chance.

RSPCA NSW shelters across the state are expecting to take in thousands of vulnerable animals this winter – like you, we couldn’t bear to turn any of them away. So we need your help.

We need everyone in the community who truly loves animals to donate whatever they can to help keep them safe and warm.

Please – any amount you can spare today will go towards helping to save an innocent life.

The coming months will put enormous pressure on our resources – the heat will need to be turned up in the kennels, the dryers will be spinning all day long to make sure there’s enough clean bedding, and there will be more sick animals needing vet treatment during the colder months. I really hope you’ll be able to help.
