Little bit about Russell

Hi there! My name is Russell and it’s so lovely to meet you! I’ve had a bit of a rough start to life, but now I’m looking for my furever family… could that be you? I came to the shelter as a stray, I was the king of the streets but now I just want a nice couch to cuddle up on with my new family. I do think it would be best though if I stayed inside only, when I was living on the streets, I decided I didn’t really like other cats in my space and contracted a very common virus Cat Flu. I would love a home where I can get loads of pats and cuddles. Where I could have a warm lap to snuggle on as well as lots of toys and attention. Because I would be indoor only I would LOOOVE a nice big scratching post so I can rule my kingdom from up high!

Something important to know about me is that I have tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). I am more vulnerable to other diseases and as such should be kept indoor only to protect me from catching illnesses or from spreading FIV to other cats. I have also been treated for a fungal infection called ringworm which makes us itchy and causes fur loss in circular shapes. But don't worry, I'm all better now and have had 2 different skin test to confirm that I am now completely ringworm free!
