Little bit about Spencer, the Rescuoodle

Hello! My name is Spencer.

I'm a little dude with some spunk who enjoys the simple things in life. I've come from a background where I was not looked after very well, my housing was oh so small and there was barely anything to do and nothing to play with, I was just so bored. I've never really had a special bond with anyone before, so I like to take my time to warm up to people and approach on my own terms when I'm ready. I'm not a huge fan of touch and being picked up, sometimes is OK but only If I know the person and they wait for me to be comfortable. I'm looking for a forever home with any kids over the age of 12, as I can be timid, someone home more often than not while I find my feet and settle in, indoor and outdoor access so I can toilet when I need too, and most of all, an understanding owner who will be patient with me and support me when I'm feeling out of place. I'm still working on my toilet training, I'm going well so far now that I have the option to go where I want, so I hope you don't mind if I have a mishap here and there. I am quite a social little guy and like other dogs, so if you have another dog in the home bring them in so we can start to make friends. I am on some special medication to help with my extended stay in shelter care, this will be going home with me, and you will need to speak to my behavior vet before taking me home!
